KSSA-air-ambulance-LR-250x166Hoads Farm Finest Quality Eggs has agreed a new partnership with the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance (KSS) and London’s Air Ambulance.

For every dozen free range eggs sold, Hoads Farm will donate 1p to be split between the two charities.

All packs of Hoads Farm free range eggs will have details of the partnership, with the new packs going on-sale in regional stores of Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons in May 2014.

Company director Adrian Potter said: “Air ambulances provide a vital service and we’re incredibly proud to be supporting them.

“Knowing that we are helping to keep the ambulances airborne is a fantastic feeling.”

Lynne Harris, Director of Income Generation for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted to be working with Hoads Farm.

“Their support will not only give us profile across the counties but also raise valuable funds for the charity so that we can continue to help those seriously ill or injured people who need our services, 24 hours a day.”

Spokesperson for London’s Air Ambulance Christine Margetts said: “We are delighted for Hoads Farm’s support and hope to build a strong relationship with them.”

The partnership coincides with Hoads Farm having recently completed work on their new state-of-the-art packing centre and grading facilities at Broad Oak (near Brede), Sussex. In addition to their own high standards, all of their eggs are produced under the BEIC Lion Quality and RSPCA Freedom Foods Welfare standard and they remain committed to higher welfare standards through their policy of only ever selling free range eggs.

The KSS – http://www.kssairambulance.org.uk/ – covers a huge area of the South East, and last year responded to 2,000 emergency calls.

The London Air Ambulance – http://londonsairambulance.co.uk/ – serves the 10 million people who live, work and commute within the M25.

Both air ambulances are registered charities and rely on donations to operate.
